The textile supply chain in Italy

Erion Textiles' commitment to the supply chain

Erion Textiles supports companies of the textile supply chain on key issues such as eco-design, the Digital Product Passport, the management of unsold goods and collection from stores, environmental compliance, the promotion of prevention practices and the use of recycled materials.

How does the textile supply chain work in Italy?

The current waste chain of finished textile products, i.e. post-consumer waste, includes five collection channels: The yellow bins present in the municipal areas; stores; collection centers; selective collection channels; industrial and professional businesses and users.

The waste flows arrive at the logistics plants which, after a selection process, convey the products discarded by consumers (clothing, footwear, accessories, home textiles) along four lines: reuse; recycling; energy valorization; landfill or thermal disposal.
